Ronyx — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-03
What Ronyx is
Ronyx is a strength-training and general-wellness app for iPhone and Apple Watch. It records the workouts you log, generates AI coaching from that history and (with your permission) your Apple Health metrics, and syncs your data across your own devices so you can pick up where you left off.
What we collect
Ronyx collects only what it needs to function. Specifically:
- Account data — your email address (or your Apple ID / Google account identifier if you sign in with those providers), an authentication token issued by our backend (Supabase), and your device time zone. We never receive your password when you use Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Workout and training data — the sets, reps, weights, exercises, templates, gyms (a name you type — no location or GPS is collected), training plans, and coaching history you create. If you skip an exercise, the reason you pick (for example "Fatigue" or "Pain") is stored with the set. This is the core data Ronyx is built on. It is associated with your account and synced across your devices.
- Coaching preferences and chat — the goals and preferences you set for the coach, any injuries or notes you type into those settings, and the messages you send in Ask Coach chat. These are stored with your account so the coach can use them.
- Subscription data — if you purchase Ronyx Pro, Apple sends us a transaction identifier so we can confirm your entitlement. We store transaction and subscription-status identifiers only. We do not receive or store your card details — those stay between you and Apple.
- Apple Health data (optional, with permission) — if you grant HealthKit permission, Ronyx reads metrics from Apple Health to personalize coaching: heart rate and resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep, active energy and exercise time, steps, workouts, VO2 max and cardio recovery, respiratory rate and blood-oxygen, body weight and composition, headphone and environmental sound exposure, and your date of birth and biological sex. Ronyx also writes completed workouts and their active energy back to Apple Health so your activity rings stay accurate.
- Product analytics — a small number of anonymized usage events (for example, that a coaching suggestion was accepted, or that an exercise was skipped) via PostHog, keyed to a random account identifier. These events never include your name, email, or any health value, weight, or rep count.
How your Apple Health data is used
Raw Apple Health samples are read on your device. Ronyx computes daily, aggregated figures from them — for example your resting-heart-rate trend, an HRV band, a recovery score, an estimated cardio fitness age, and recent sound-exposure levels. To power coaching and cross-device sync, these derived, aggregated figures (not the raw sample streams) are stored in your account on our backend and are sent to our AI provider, Google, to generate coaching. Your birth year, if you enter it manually as a fallback, stays on your device; the fitness age estimated from it can be shared with the coach.
Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never shared with anyone other than the processors named below who operate our backend and AI coaching.
Who we share data with (processors)
Ronyx does not sell your data and uses no advertising SDKs. We share data only with the service providers that run the app:
- Supabase — authentication and database. Stores your account, workouts, coaching and chat history, and the aggregated health figures above. Row-level security ensures one user cannot read another's data. Servers are in the United States.
- Google (Vertex AI / Gemini) — our AI coach. To generate coaching, briefings, and chat replies, we send Google your workout details (including your logged sets, reps, and weights from recent sessions), the aggregated health figures above (such as resting heart rate, HRV, VO2 max, estimated fitness age, sound exposure, and body weight), your coaching preferences and any injuries you note, and your chat messages. Multi-week history is summarized; your most recent session and chat are sent in more detail. We do not send your name, email, or account identifier — the request is pseudonymous. Google processes this under its Vertex AI / Cloud terms; prompts sent through the production API are not used to train Google's models.
- PostHog — product analytics (US Cloud). Receives only the anonymized events described above, with no health or workout values.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and Apple Health reads/writes on your device.
- Stripe — processes subscription billing where used; receives subscription lifecycle data. We store only identifiers, never card details.
How AI coaching works
When you trigger a coaching action (post-workout analysis, daily briefing, or Ask Coach chat), our backend gathers your recent workout and health context, sends it to Google's Gemini API with your coaching preferences, receives a structured response (insights, suggestions, plan changes), and syncs that response to your device. Daily limits (5 free / 30 Pro) keep costs sustainable.
Coaching content is generated by AI. It can be inaccurate or incomplete. Ronyx provides estimates for general wellness and fitness. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified healthcare professional before acting on health or training decisions.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data (workouts, coaching and chat history, and the aggregated health figures) for as long as your account is active, so the app and your coach have your history. When you delete your account we remove the data as described below.
Your rights and choices
- Apple Health: you control which categories Ronyx can read in the Health app (Sharing → Apps → Ronyx), and you can turn any off at any time.
- Access and export: you can export your data as JSON from within the app, and you can email us to request access or correction.
- Deletion: see below. Deleting your account removes your data from our backend.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account. We mark your account for deletion immediately and purge all associated data after a 30-day grace period (so you can reverse the decision by signing in again within that window). After the grace period, your workouts, templates, training plans, coaching and chat history, and stored health figures are permanently removed.
Email isomorphism.world@gmail.com if the in-app flow fails.
Children
Ronyx is rated 4+ but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact isomorphism.world@gmail.com and we will purge it.
Changes
We may update this policy as Ronyx evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in-app on next sign-in, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this document will change.
