What Ronyx is
Ronyx is a strength-training and general-wellness app for iPhone and Apple Watch. It records the workouts you log, helps you follow templates and review your history, reads optional Apple Health metrics, and syncs your data across your own devices so you can pick up where you left off.
What we collect
Ronyx collects only what it needs to function. Specifically:
- Account data — your email address (or your Apple ID / Google account identifier if you sign in with those providers), an authentication token issued by our backend (Supabase), and your device time zone. We never receive your password when you use Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Workout and training data — the sets, reps, weights, exercises, templates, gyms, training plans, and workout history you create. If you enable Save GPS with every workout, Ronyx also saves one foreground GPS snapshot (coordinates, accuracy, capture time, and whether iOS supplied precise or approximate location) with each workout and syncs it to your account. Ronyx does not record a route, continuously track you, or use background location. If you skip an exercise, the reason you pick (for example "Fatigue" or "Pain") is stored with the set. This is the core data Ronyx is built on. It is associated with your account and synced across your devices.
- Historical account records — if you used an earlier Ronyx version, your account may include coaching, chat, or subscription-status records. Version 0.4.31 does not offer AI coaching or in-app purchases. Turning off those features does not erase existing account records; they are retained under this policy until account deletion.
- Apple Health data (optional, with permission) — if you grant HealthKit permission, Ronyx reads metrics from Apple Health to show Health insights and support training features: heart rate and resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep, active energy and exercise time, steps, workouts, VO2 max and cardio recovery, respiratory rate and blood-oxygen, body weight and composition, headphone and environmental sound exposure, and your date of birth and biological sex. Ronyx also writes completed workouts and their active energy back to Apple Health so your activity rings stay accurate.
- Product analytics — a small number of pseudonymous, account-linked usage events via PostHog, such as when an exercise is skipped or restored. These events include an account identifier, exercise ID, selected skip reason, and the screen where the action happened; they do not include your name, email, raw Apple Health samples, weight, reps, or other workout values.
How your Apple Health data is used
Raw Apple Health samples are read on your device. Ronyx computes daily, aggregated figures from them — for example your resting-heart-rate trend, an HRV band, a recovery score, an estimated cardio fitness age, and recent sound-exposure levels. Derived health summaries may be stored with your account in Supabase so cross-device Health features can use them; raw sample streams are not stored there. Version 0.4.31 does not send Health data, workout data, or chats to an AI provider. Your birth year, if you enter it manually as a fallback, stays on your device.
Apple Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never shared with anyone other than the processors named below who operate our backend.
Who we share data with (processors)
Ronyx does not sell your data and uses no advertising SDKs. We share data only with the service providers that run the app:
- Supabase — authentication and database. Stores your account, workouts, templates, training plans, derived health summaries, and any historical coaching, chat, or subscription records already in your account, including an opted-in workout's single location snapshot. Row-level security ensures one user cannot read another's data. Servers are in the United States.
- PostHog — product analytics (US Cloud). Receives only the pseudonymous, account-linked events described above, with no raw Health or workout values.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and Apple Health reads/writes on your device.
How this version works
Version 0.4.31 offers workout logging, templates, history, Apple Watch, and optional Apple Health features. AI coaching and in-app purchases are unavailable in this version. Historical coaching, chat, and subscription records may remain with an account until it is deleted.
Ronyx provides estimates for general wellness and fitness. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified healthcare professional before acting on health or training decisions.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data (workouts, templates, training plans, derived health summaries, and any historical coaching, chat, or subscription records) for as long as your account is active, so the app can retain your history. When you delete your account we remove the data as described below.
Your rights and choices
- Apple Health: you control which categories Ronyx can read in the Health app (Sharing → Apps → Ronyx), and you can turn any off at any time.
- Access and export: you can export your data as JSON from within the app, and you can email us to request access or correction.
- Deletion: see below. Deleting your account removes your data from our backend.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account. We mark your account for deletion immediately and purge all associated data after a 30-day grace period (so you can reverse the decision by signing in again within that window). After the grace period, your workouts, templates, training plans, historical coaching and chat history, subscription records, and stored health summaries are permanently removed.

Children
Ronyx is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact isomorphism.world@gmail.com and we will purge it.
Changes
We may update this policy as Ronyx evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in-app on next sign-in, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this document will change.
