Ronyx — Privacy Policy

What Ronyx is

Ronyx is a strength training app for iPhone and Apple Watch. It records the workouts you log, generates AI-driven coaching suggestions from that history, and syncs your data across your own devices so you can pick up where you left off.

What we collect

Ronyx collects only what it needs to function. Specifically:

1. Account data — your email address (or your Apple ID / Google account identifier if you sign in with those providers) and an authentication token issued by our backend (Supabase). We never receive your password directly when you use Sign in with Apple or Google.
2. Workout data — every set, rep, weight, exercise, template, place (gym), training plan, and coaching note you create. This is the core data Ronyx is built on. It is associated with your account and synced across your devices.
3. Subscription receipts — if you purchase Ronyx Pro, Apple sends us a transaction receipt so we can confirm your entitlement. We forward that receipt to Apple's verifyReceipt servers and to our backend. We do not see your credit card; that stays between you and Apple.
4. HealthKit data (optional, with permission) — if you grant HealthKit permission, Ronyx reads workout history, heart rate samples, and recovery metrics from your device to factor into AI coaching. Ronyx also writes completed workouts back to HealthKit as HKWorkout so your Apple activity rings stay accurate. HealthKit data is read and written on-device only and never leaves your device. HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing, is never used for data-mining, and is never shared with or sold to third parties.
5. Crash and diagnostic data — anonymized error reports via Sentry, and anonymized product analytics events via PostHog (e.g., "user opened the logger view"). We do not log workout contents or personally identifying details in these events.

What we do NOT collect

• Raw training logs are never sent to Gemini (our AI provider). The Ronyx backend pre-aggregates your workouts into metrics (weekly volume, top sets, exercise frequency, muscle balance) before any AI call. The AI sees aggregates, never individual sets.
• We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
• We do not access your contacts, photos (except those you explicitly attach to a workout), microphone, camera (except when you take a progress photo), or precise location.

Where data lives

• On your device: your workouts are saved to local storage first, before any sync. The app works fully offline.
• In our backend: Supabase Postgres, hosted in the United States. Row-level security ensures one user cannot read another user's data.
• AI processing: pre-aggregated workout metrics are sent to Google's Gemini API for coaching generation. Gemini's data handling is governed by Google's terms; per Google's Vertex AI / Gemini API terms, prompts sent via the production API are not used to train Google's models.
• Apple HealthKit: stays on-device.

How AI coaching works

When you trigger a coaching action (post-workout analysis, daily briefing, AskCoach chat), our backend:

1. Pulls your recent workout history from Postgres.
2. Aggregates it into the metrics described above.
3. Sends the aggregates + your coaching preferences to Gemini.
4. Receives a structured response (insights, suggestions, plan changes).
5. Writes the response into your coaching cache, which is then synced to your device.

Daily limits (5 free / 30 Pro) prevent abuse and keep our infrastructure costs sustainable.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete Account. We mark your account for deletion immediately and purge all associated data after a 30-day grace period (so you can reverse the decision by signing in again within that window). After the grace period: workouts, templates, training plans, coaching logs, and chat history are permanently removed.

Children

Ronyx is rated 4+ but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact isomorphism.world@gmail.com and we will purge it.

Changes

We may update this policy as Ronyx evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in-app on next sign-in, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this document will change.
